studio

Set amongst the tall dark trees of the Dandenong Ranges forest, east of Melbourne, the studio is a sanctuary where all sense of time, place and self, cease to exist. Studio time is often spent in the experimental process, exploring  endless colour pallets and different material combinations. These investigations sometimes develop into smaller works on paper, which  mostly include  crayon, paint pens, collage and charcoal. Much consideration is given to these experiments, prior to committing to a large scale canvas, both in terms of colour choices and medium usage.

My work is ultimately about vision—about looking through the chaos, noise, and fragmentation of the external world to uncover a reality that is self-created and deeply rooted in the things I value most. It is a visual language built from colour, movement, beauty, and a sense of designed looseness—a kind of ordered spontaneity that allows freedom and structure to coexist. Within this world, love, patience, respect, calm, harmony, and peace are not just ideals but active presences, gently guiding the viewer toward an immersive experience.

Rather than replicating the confusion of the outside world, my practice seeks to create an alternative—a space of refuge and reflection. It’s a process of tuning in, of quieting the external noise to bring into focus a different kind of clarity. This clarity is not fixed or absolute, but fluid and ever-evolving, much like the abstract forms and shifting colours in my work. There is always movement—gestural, emotional, and spatial—inviting the viewer to step closer, to spend time, to feel.

At the heart of this pursuit lies a deep sense of spirituality. My creative process is guided by an awareness of something greater than myself—a higher power that shapes both my understanding of life and the evolution of my painting. Spirituality, for me, is not separate from art but intertwined with it. It informs my choices, my rhythm, and my intention, becoming a governing force in my search for truth. Each piece becomes an offering, a quiet dialogue between the material and the divine, an attempt to translate the unseen into something felt and known.

I want to build a world that invites others in, not just to observe, but to contribute—a world where beauty, balance, and spiritual awareness coexist. Through this lens, I offer a space where viewers can reconnect with their own sense of peace, presence, and the divine essence that threads through all existence.

The large scale of the paintings  creates a  presence. They fill a space with energy, whether it's a home, a corporate setting, or a gallery. They aren’t just paintings on a wall—they transform a room, set a mood, and spark conversation. Many of my collectors are drawn to the bold colour choices and the movement within the work because it brings life and dynamism to their space.

Through my art, I seek to dissolve the boundaries of the tangible, allowing viewers to engage with the infinite and the eternal. Each piece is a meditative exploration, inviting a shared journey towards understanding the unseen forces that shape our existence and consciousness.
