Unscripted is a painting that holds sentimental value, as it serves as a reminder of my childhood love of handwriting. As a young child of about six, I longed to learn the cursive style of writing and would spend hours practicing the fluid motions of those graceful loops and curves.The rhythmic and repetitive motion of cursive writing was a soothing and meditative experience. The intention of ‘Unscripted’ was to capture this rhythmic and repetitive essence of cursive writing, reflecting not only the act of writing itself but also the feeling and memories tied to those childhood moments spent perfecting the art of cursive script.
